Robert Tutterow
President
Robert Tutterow (retired Charlotte Fire Department), the only founder who is still active, is the current President.
Sally Young
Treasurer/Registrar
Sally Young, retired Fire Planner for the Charlotte Fire Department, became involved in 1993. She has been the treasurer/registrar since 1996.
Jessica Pickett
Executive Director
Jessica Pickett joined F.I.E.R.O. in January 2018 as the Marketing/Planning Director and then was named Executive Director in 2020. She has worked from the White House to the firehouse. Jessica is a retired All Hazards Lieutenant with the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department and served as a Deputy Emergency Manager for Montgomery County (PA). She has a vast background in emergency services and has her own consulting company, RPM Solutions Group, Inc.
Don Collins
Board Member, Awards Program Director
Don Collins joined F.I.E.R.O. soon after it was founded and has been a board member for over 20 years. Don has been an integral part of the Fire Station Design Symposium: he has been a speaker at every Fire Station Design Symposium and has headed up the Awards competition from its inception.
Jeff Harkey
Vice President
Jeff is a North Carolina native and attended the North Carolina State University College of Design. He has been a registered Architect since 1992. In 2022, Jeff became a Partner in a new venture: MESH Overlay Design. Their current projects include the Championship events for the PGA, including the Ryder Cup and PGA Championship and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Jeff’s other passion has always been the fire service. He serves as a consultant to both the North Carolina and South Carolina State Firefighters’ Associations, concentrating on their annual educational conference and expos.
Natasha Nau
Board Member
Natasha Nau, founder of RightNauConsulting LLC, joined F.I.E.R.O. in 2023. Natasha currently serves as the Finance Manager in CT. She started her local government career in 2013 and has served in various capacities across five states - VA, AZ, DE, PA & CT - including ass the Deputy Commissoner of Finance for the Philadelphia Fire Department. Natasha is a life-long volunteer firefighter at Long Ridge Fire Company.
